Conor O’Keefe
About the Artist:
Conor O’Keefe was born in 1982 and grew up in Richmond, Virginia. Throughout school he constantly explored artistic work and won several scholastic art awards. However it was not until his eleventh grade year that he found his place as a realist painter, when he was invited to study with Jonathan Wurdeman in the Republic of Georgia for the summer. Conor finished high school and returned to Georgia, and spent the following years as an apprentice in the studios of Jonathan Wurdeman, Ilya Yatsenko, and Nikolai Kozlov, both in Georgia and in Russia. He also studied Iconography in the Monastery of St. John the Baptist, in Georgia. He is presently working as a full time painter, mostly in Richmond, and his paintings can be found at Lazare Gallery (lazaregallery.com), and various exhibitions.
